Visit to world heritage Rammelsberg

The ore mine Rammelsberg in the Upper Harz is the only mine of the world that operated more than 100 years and was registered in the list of UNESCO in 1992. In the above ground area of the former mine a museum is located and is one of the biggest museum-like institutions of North Germany. Further, a tunnel system allows to get an impression of the former underground work characterised by the unique water wheels used to transport ore.

On Thursday, February 15th a visit to the world heritage Rammelsberg, including the visit of the museum and a trip in the tunnel system, is planned. Therefore, participants are asked to dress adequate including especially sturdy shoes.
